Bio/Contacts

Emily Zelasko is an illustrator who lives with her husband Andy in Michigan with their good boy Hardy. For fun, or not fun, she blows up a bladder and makes an obscene amount of noise. She hopes that if you enjoy making art that you would make art.

Emily uses digital and traditional material such as pen and ink, paint and charcoal, for the foundation of her illustrations which draw from sources such as myth and folktales. As she gains understanding from these old tales, her goal is to express these lessons through art and continue the tradition of passing on wisdom while keeping it fun and adventurous.

Emily presents her work in various art and comic shows and the Michigan Renaissance Festival and does a variety of odds and ends with her art. She has contributed to titles including the following:
One of the colorists for “Touching Evil” by Dan Dougherty
Contributed the slice of life comic “Piece of Cake” to Flit Comix
Published comic work with Arrow Comics
Has done various cover art including work for the publisher Balance of Seven
Has contributed art work to Source Point Press titles “Get in the Game” and “Butts in Seats”

Emily is also a team member at Camp PencilPont, “a place where we draw with nonsense and tomfoolery” the goal of which is to keep the fun in drawing, doing away with the pressure of perfection, using videos and interactive classes with a variety of wacky characters, tutorials and games.  http://camppencilpoint.com
